With over 20 years of experience in painting custom homes, commercial buildings, and residential developments on the West side of the Big Island, we’ve stayed in business because the work we do is always about quality customization. We work with Architects, Designers, General Contractors, and Home Owners. Our attention to detail is meticulous on every job, and we strive to create working relationships that will continue well after the project is complete. We provide faux finishing on a variety of different levels. We work with home owners and their designers to create anything from an accent wall or in some cases, finish an entire house. We provide samples and mock ups to our clients to give them an idea on what a finish would look like on a ceiling or a switch plate. We love to get creative! We also do two-part epoxy coatings on heavy traffic areas such as garage floors and walk ways.
Condominium & Multi Family Units
Throughout the past 20 years of doing business, we’ve gained the trust of our clients. We’ve worked with Board Members and On-site Resident Managers and know the challenges they face and what it takes to maintain a multi-unit property. When it comes to large scale painting projects, we offer the following services:
- Scheduling, sequencing, and coordinating with Property Managers, Tenants and Owners.
- Assisting in removing lanai furniture before work commences, if necessary.
We take great pride in our solid communication skills during these jobs. We make sure that everyone is aware of each stage of the project and how it will impact them. We coordinate with property managers, tenants and owners giving them 48 hours notice before we start painting their units. How we achieve this, is to put notices on unit doors to inform tenants of what units will be affected. Our goal is to ensure that at the end of the project everyone is happy with our performance. We’re proud to say that we get invited back 6 to 8 years after the job was finished because of our working relationship with our clients. It’s a small island community and we do everything to keep our stellar reputation what it is.
Commercial & Retail Space
Some of our past projects include Safeway, Denny’s and the Borders building at the Crossroads shopping plaza in Kailua Kona. On these projects we completed the light gauge metal framing, drywall and painting. In addition to being a licensed painting contractor, we are also a licensed drywall contractor. Currently our focus is painting, however, from time to time we do the drywall and the painting on projects. We’ve found that general contractors appreciate having both phases performed by the same contractor and we prefer it because we can control the quality of the finishes.
Mildew can be a serious health issue as well as a visual eyesore. We have solutions and methods for killing the mildew without damaging any foliage or causing any harm to your household pets.There have been many instances when our clients believed they needed to have their entire home repainted when in fact, the finishes came back to life once the house was cleaned. Preventative maintenance on finished exterior surfaces can greatly extend the time between refinishing saving in the long run. This is especially true for properties that are near the ocean. The salt residue that accumulates on finishes as well as the intensity of the sun and hard water spots from irrigation and acid rain is extremely hard on exterior finishes. We offer maintenance services and maintenance contracts to our clients to help prolong the life of their exterior finishes. Inspection of exterior finishes on a regular basis is extremely important because if the surface is not refinished before it fails it may need to be stripped down to bare wood and refinished. This is very labor intensive and up to three times the cost for homes that are regularly inspected and maintained. Our services include periodic inspections, wood cleaning and touch up as needed.
